Bulk transcription

Upload scanned pupil scripts as PDFs and get verbatim text back — no marking, no feedback. Everything runs on the server: once your files are uploaded you can close the tab, go and teach, and come back to finished transcriptions in Saved transcriptions.

1. 1. Your PDF is uploaded to your own private area — nobody else can read it.
2. 2. A background worker reads it five pages at a time, saving progress as it goes.
3. 3. The finished text is saved to your account and the original scan is deleted.

Standard reading handles ordinary classroom handwriting well and is far cheaper — only switch a file to Careful if its transcription comes back poor. A clean-up pass re-reads the whole transcription a second time, so it adds cost; leave it off unless the raw text is messy. Untick “one pupil’s script” when a file holds several pupils, so each page is read on its own.
